Day 3 - crisis

Rebekah fell asleep around dinner time after tossing and turning. I sat with her for an hour or two in the air conditioned downstairs to keep her cool after the day at the beach. She woke up at midnight with a very high fever (39.3 C under her armpit) and her shoulders were light pink from sunburn. I gave her some medicine and then put cool towel compresses on her body. It took nearly 45 minutes to get her temp down. She nursed and went back to sleep. The rest of the night was uneventful. I'll keep a close eye on her tomorrow...
